Is this too white to wear to a wedding? I can't decide.

Yes.

KnockMeDown · 27/04/2018 11:57

My initial reaction is that is definitely too bridal. Sorry.

TammyWhyNot · 27/04/2018 11:58

Too brideamaidsy.

soggydigestive · 27/04/2018 11:58

yes

AntiHop · 27/04/2018 11:59

Definitely. Sorry.

Bluntness100 · 27/04/2018 12:02

Yes totally, I can imagine someone getting married in that.

fearfultrill · 27/04/2018 12:02

I thought so. I'm so sad because I love it and can't find another I like as much!

Why do they put cream coloured dresses in the 'wedding guest' section ☹️

shakenandangry · 27/04/2018 12:03

Yes, it’s both the lace/mesh and the floral design on a light dress.

SleepFreeZone · 27/04/2018 12:04

I would say so yes. It’s a lovely dress!

CuntPuffin · 27/04/2018 12:05

I disagree. It doesn't look bridal to me. Pair it with a jacket or wrap which picks up the colours in it.

DextroDependant · 27/04/2018 12:05

Yep.

SleepFreeZone · 27/04/2018 12:05

I was just thinking though you could change it a bit by adding a different coloured skirt under the netting. Say a plain blue one or something. Then it would be fine.

Bexter801 · 27/04/2018 12:06

Oh I wouldn't care,it's too nice....I love it. Maybe a different coloured shawl,to ''unwhiten'' it!

fearfultrill · 27/04/2018 12:12

I'm trying to think of other occasions I could wear it to! Might be time for a trip to the races Grin

The supermarket,work,around the house!

hangry24seven · 27/04/2018 12:22

Its lovely but yes too bridal.

sonjadog · 27/04/2018 13:04

Yep, too bridal.

fearfultrill · 27/04/2018 13:05

Can anyone recommend a brand similar to Chi Chi London? Same sort of price bracket as well.

OP posts:
goose1964 · 27/04/2018 13:17

Is this any good? In real life the colours are brighter and pop more

fearfultrill · 27/04/2018 13:45

@goose1964 sorry I can't see any pics!

That is a beautiful dress! I bought one of the Issa Olivia deep-v maxi dresses yesterday for a black tie do. They are gorgeous but maybe a bit much for a wedding guest.

EnidButton · 27/04/2018 16:22

It's a bit bridal but honestly unless someone turns up in an ivory full length hooped skirted number, I really really don't think most people care. It's only since seeing it said on MN that I've thought cream/white dresses aren't appropriate. I've no idea what any of my guesses wore. The only one that stood out a bit was a woman who wore a black business suit and at a cousin's wedding, a woman in a white suit through which you could see her blank thong.

I've worn a cream cropped jacket over a blue dress for a wedding. My DM wore navy and ivory at my wedding. I honestly don't think anyone will care. Maybe don't wear ivory shoes and a handbag but otherwise I think it's fine.

EnidButton · 27/04/2018 16:23

Guesses = guests.

EnidButton · 27/04/2018 16:24

Blank =black thong!

Jesus Christ autocorrect, work with me here.

calzone · 27/04/2018 16:25

Of course you can wear it.

It’s not a bridesmaid dress......it’s a guests dress.

Wear it and look beautiful.
