Does anyone have experience of hair extensions?

I had my hair cut and highlighted last week as usual when my hairdresser suggested I might benefit from hair extensions - saying that many women with thin hair feel more confident with them in. Until that point I hadn't felt a lack of confidence about my hair!! Now I'm considering it but for every positive thing I read about extensions, there's a horror story of people's hair falling out or being damaged beyond repair. My hairdresser has suggested nano bead extensions - can anyone give me the benefit of their experience?

She’ll make more money out of you...
If you’re happy with your hair, you don’t need fakery. Anyway they cause damage.

If you don't feel uncomfortable about your hair don't do it, they cost a fortune

I used to get them done regularly when I was 18 £200 a go (and that's cheap), I've had a few different kinds:

Racoon - this is loose hair glued in but is softer than pre glued extensions so doesn't wreck your hair as much but you loose a lot of extension hair when they come out (you can re use the hair) so costs more and is expensive anyway

Pre glued extensions - cheap and can re use but DONT DO IT literally the worst ever can't get them out and just ruin your hair

Micro ring - similar to nano bead just bigger, these are supposed to be the best for your hair but I had them repeatedly for years with next to no break, they were also quite long and therefore heaving on my fine hair, when I eventually decided to take them out and leave my hair it had pulled so much hair out, I had little tufts or damaged hair throughout (thankfully couldn't see it under my natural hair) but it was a nightmare!

Basically unless you're going to a top salon and spending a fortune I wouldn't bother & I definitely wouldn't if you're happy with your hair
