Don't want to be boring but don't want to look 'wrong'.

I would say silver with a silver bag.

Although my sister wore a very similar dress with nude shoes and bag and looked great!

WingsOnMyBoots · 24/04/2018 12:08

Sorry - to clarify - it is Navy Blue.

Hi fearfultrill - I would consider silver for evening but it is for during the day.

Yes I can see nude would work.

I would definitely say nude then. Or I can see any light colour complimenting it to be honest!

halfwitpicker · 24/04/2018 12:13

Gorgeous dress. Silver /nude as above.

You could also wear dark pink /fushia coloured shoes too, for evening.

WingsOnMyBoots · 24/04/2018 12:31

Thank you! Yes I fell for it right away!

Lovely dress! Nude is classic with navy, can’t go wrong. If you wanted something brighter (what’s the event?) then fushia as suggested or yellow maybe?

Dee361970 · 24/04/2018 12:39

I think nude would look lovely :)

RatRolyPoly · 24/04/2018 12:43

Sorry, going off topic; OP, is that just a normal link you've cut and pasted? I can't work out how you've got it to say "Mumsnet forum" in it!

Another vote for nude and navy btw :)

WillowySnicket · 24/04/2018 12:47

A friend wore coral shoes with a navy dress once and it looked amazing. Or mustard. But, for a safer option, yes to nude.

GinThereDoneThat · 24/04/2018 12:49

Nude is a good option but it has to be the "right" nude for you! I would say a lovely bright orange or yellow colour would look lovely if you're feeling brave

WingsOnMyBoots · 24/04/2018 12:50

I know it sounds odd but it is for a job interview. It's for an part-time assistant in a shop that sells quirky/kitsch/ vintage style jewellery and other gifts. This is my true style but obviously for every day life and practical reasons I wear jeans etc but if I get this job I want to use it as an opportunity to dress how I really want to and use some of the clothes I've had in my wardrobe for a while but never seem to get to wear!

expatinspain · 24/04/2018 12:51

Silver or red.

WingsOnMyBoots · 24/04/2018 12:51

RatRolyPoly I really DON'T know how I have done that with the link either!!

OP posts:
DontCallMeCharlotte · 24/04/2018 13:00

For night I would go silver.
For daytime I would go fuschia/hot pink.
For the interview, I would maybe still go hot pink but more likely nude.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 24/04/2018 13:01

YY to Silver. Navy and silver are gorgeous or
Gold. Coral. Mint. Red. Pastel yellow. Light pastel pink. Peach.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 24/04/2018 13:02

Sounds a bit boring but white would also be nice or as pp says nude

moreismore · 24/04/2018 13:44

For that sort of interview red would work really well. Or nude shoes and then do a red lip. I’d embrace your natural style and just go for it-good luck!

WildCherryBlossom · 24/04/2018 15:12

I would go with a bright colour: red, pink, yellow... nude is a little bit safe
