Ethical trainers

I live in my Nikes and it’s time to get some more but I am concerned about their high carbon footprint and the horrible conditions in the factories.
Has anyone bought any eco-friendly trainers such as Veja? They look cool but never seen them in real life. They are not exactly cheap either but I’m happy to pay the price if they’re any good.

I have a few years ago, they were very comfortable but wore down quite quickly.

I have twin pairs of Vejas- love them! Sizing is a little odd but I’ve been very happy with the look and quality. Bought from big online retailers so easy to return if not sure.
