It’s falling apart at the seams. I got it from Gap 6 years ago.
Cotton/linen mix
Washed out navy marlwith thin white stripes, narrow spaced
Shallow V neck
Cap sleeves

It sounds fairly classic, but I can’t find anything similar anywhere. Thus will be my third summer of looking!

Do I just need to let it go?

Can you look on eBay to see if someone's selling it again?

BikeRunSki · 23/04/2018 10:36

I have a saved search CherryBlossom!

Email them. Might be worth a try

Mulberrysilk · 23/04/2018 11:53

Is this any good? It's h&m. It's 100% cotton but it has a slub which might make it look a bit like linen. I won't link to it because I'm on their Irish site not the uk one.

Next have some linen T shirts, with a thin stripe & v neck might be worth a look.

BigFatBloomers · 23/04/2018 18:16

White Stuff - maybe not be navy enough

BagelGoesWalking · 23/04/2018 18:33

They had quite a lot of v neck stripy tshirts on ASOS.

Emily7708 · 23/04/2018 18:37

If it’s just a simple pattern, you could buy some of the same type of material and get a few made up by a seamstress. It’s not that expensive to do.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 23/04/2018 18:41

Zara has lots of fab stripy tees.
I love them-however I am not sure re the linen mix.
Is that a deal breaker?

bonzo77 · 23/04/2018 18:43

After a long search for my favourite t shirt I have ended up making them.

ZeroFoxGiven · 23/04/2018 18:59

BikeRunSki Do you have a photo of it? Eg a photo of you wearing it which you could crop your head out of if you don't like posting pictures of yourself.

Luckingfovely · 23/04/2018 19:01

I found some lovely navy linen tshirts in John Lewis last week. Not cheap but lovely fabric and hung really well. I love that knitted linen feel.

DavetheCat2001 · 23/04/2018 20:13

Can you post a pic OP?

MrPotatosGirlfriend · 23/04/2018 20:35

@bonzo77

What pattern are you using for yours? I've made a fair few Grainline Scout Tees and I'm thinking of branching out to something different.

Cheers

bonzo77 · 23/04/2018 21:16

@MrPotatosGirlfriend it’s the Maggie from BellaSunshineDesigns though I’ve lowered the armhole a touch and reduced the ease at the hips. I found it good in light weight cotton Lycra and in a thin 100% cotton jersey. Didn’t like it so much in heavier cotton Lycra, 100% cotton interlock or 100% cotton rib. I might have a look at the Layer Me Up from Patterns For Pirates. Off now to investigate Grainline.....

A not very good photo.

Mumsie nothing in Zara has ever fitted me (34E) and they were incredibly rude to me once, so I never go in, I might....

mumsie The linen is a deal breaker tbh, part of what I love about the T is the way the linen makes it unclingy and gives a bit of shape and structure as compared to cotton or cotton/lycra mix jersey.

BigFatBloomers - I'd rather the white and navy were the other way round, but I am going to order that anyway! How did I miss it? I thought I'd scoured the WS website and I was in shop today!

Thank you all.

Try la redoute. I got a navy linen mix t shirt from there last year, sounds similar but without the stripes

Buxbaum · 23/04/2018 21:54

How about this one from Seasalt?

BikeRunSki · 23/04/2018 22:03

I do love that Buxbaum, but that neckline nd horizontal stripes would make me look like the love child of Hattie Jaques and the Honey Monster.

Hmm I can't find anything quite the same but this Barbour one is probably the closest that I've been able to find and is 80% linen/20% cotton

Toast has some but super pricey - will probably last ages though!
