Dress me for summer, without me getting my legs out.

I live in band t-shirts, jeans, trainers, boots etc. which serves me pretty well for a good part of the year in UK, really.

Come the summer and everyone is wafting about in dresses (which wouldn't suit me) and looking cool, and I am in boots. The obvious answer would be denim shorts, then I could go about my wardrobe-business as usual, but my legs are my worst feature – pale, lumpy and always bruised. Allergic to most fake tans, and I'm super lazy... sooo, what options can you think of?

linen trousers?

NameChangeOnTheRegular · 22/04/2018 20:45

Nice enough on other people, but they don't feel very 'me'...

Now it is warmer, I still wear jeans, but cuffed/turned up. I wear them with trainers like Converse or Superga, or flip flops or flats.

Similar to some of the pictures here (not my website): thefashiontag.com/cuffed-jeans-trend-how-to-look-effortlessly-chic/

I also quite like chinos.

What about a maxi skirt? Or plain black leggings and a black ruched skirt, tshirt and converse or sandals.

Madonnasmum · 23/04/2018 07:37

I've found cropped skinny jeans from DP which are great for keeping cool and can wear with anything.
Also maxi and midi dresses and skirts are fab.

BigFatBloomers · 23/04/2018 09:47

I have found a long tube skirt or a
jersey maxi dress good for those days I didn’t want to get my legs out.

I had a couple of really nice dresses from Dorothy Perkins that had drawstring waists but I can’t see any at the moment.

Ooh, pestilential, I quite like your trouser options, bravo. I'd never have thought of them myself but can see them with t and trainers...

Yes to cuffed jeans, I'm going to investigate a looser style than skinnies.

Bigfatbloomers, I quite like the idea of a jersey maxi too.
