Make up tutorial help

I’ve just had a fab new haircut which is making me feel amazing and I want to try and get my head round eye make up. I’ve never worn much and don’t know where to start (slightly terrifying as I’m 52Smile). Can anyone direct me to the best online tutorials?
Thanks
PS can’t tell you how I am thrilled I am that I bit the bullet, changed hairdressers and went for something much edgier, it’s just ridiculously exciting and I keep smiling at myself in the mirror!

Have a look at Lisa Eldridge.
She is easy to follow

Will do, thanks so much

I second Lisa Eldridge, and she has the most soothing voice.
Try also: pixiwoo

If you like a natural makeup look then you will love Hannah Martin, Bobbi Brown pro artist. I’m 46 & adore her 😀

Just been looking at Lisa Eldridge and she's very reassuring, will check out Hannah Martin too. I think natural is the way to go (to start with anyway!)

I like Hot & Flashy

I suppose it's all relative, but imo Hannah Martin's definition of "natural" is usually at the "very done" end of the spectrum. Don't get me wrong, I like her and I follow her on You Tube, but I'm always a bit perplexed when she describes her looks as "natural"; there's always a lot of bronzer and way too much mascara for a true natural look, I reckon. Bobbi Brown are renowned as a "natural" brand though, so you would get some good tips if you went to one of their counters or stores for a tutorial, I've always found them to be really helpful.

Lisa Eldridge's natural look is more natural.

Good luck op. If it was me, I'd spend a few hours going round the make-up counters and chatting to the MUAs for some tips. Have fun!

Bobbi Brown advised for my wedding make up, so I could happily go back there. I did buy loads of stuff but just never used it as I wasn't really sure what I was doing and when I tried it looked awful. Maybe I'll go back and ask for more of a lesson, not just a demo
