Quick Boden question...

Boden have 25% off everything from today until Thursday, so I am going to order this tunic:

www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/womens-tops-t-shirts/3_4-sleeved-tops/j0112-grn/womens-sap-green-floral-bouquet-miriam-jersey-tunic

I'm unsure though which size to go for as it varies from shop to shop and I have never got anything from Boden before.

Would you think this type of tunic/dress would come up on the small or larger side? I plan to wear it as a sundress so going for regular length I think, but not sure whether to size up or down.

I am flattish of chest (34A), waist 27.5 inches and 36 inches would the hips.

Boden sizing is usually generous so you may need to go down a size to usual. When it comes to length, I am 5'7'' and generally buy their long length tunics, dresses and trousers. Sometimes the tunic length is quite short so you may prefer a long length even if you are shorter than me..... HTH Smile

Thanks blodynmawr

I'm 5ft 7 too so very helpful!

I've sized down and will return it if too small.

I was going to say the opposite, historically they've been big but I think their sizing has been better lately and you'll probably be a size 10. I have size 12 petite dresses from there that fit perfectly (just like they did in the 90s) whereas most places I'm a size 10. It might just be the petite clothing that this is true of though.

DavetheCat2001 · 22/04/2018 12:57

I did their fit predictor thing and it came up as an 8 after I said I wear a 10 in Oasis and French Connection, I suppose I should have ordered both sizes to try on.

You won't be a 10 I don't think. I'm a similar size to you and I wear an 8 in Boden dresses. Some of them are even a bit baggy.

DavetheCat2001 · 22/04/2018 13:28

Great thanks.

25% off everything till Thursday ladies (enabling)!

If they are doing free returns, order both sizes and return one once you've decided.

DavetheCat2001 · 22/04/2018 14:36

They are I think.

Has anyone else ordered anything recently?

I think Boden is true to size, personally I don't think tops are at all generous. I would order two sizes and return one.
I was tempted to order a dress with the discount but there are only 2 I like, one is out of stock for the next 2 weeks and the other is £80 for a jersey dress! Totally overpriced for what is essentially just a basic jersey dress.

Ellapaella · 22/04/2018 14:51

That dress you have linked to Dave is lovely, hadn't spotted that when I was browsing through. If there's a big discount it's probably better to order two sizes if you're not sure as they will probably sell out fairly quick.

M0reGinPlease · 22/04/2018 15:01

That's lovely. Free delivery and returns so I'd order multiple sizes.

Btw, never, ever pay 'full price' for anything at Boden. They're discount code crazy.

DavetheCat2001 · 22/04/2018 15:03

Thanks ella

Only just noticed that the green dress is out of stock for the next 2 weeks too! I'm sure I didn't see that when I placed the order..

hmmm..my order says 2-3 days so maybe they have just had a rush on because of the discount.

The size 10 is out of stock for 2 weeks now..wish I'd bloody ordered it along with the 8! grrrr!

Hungover and a bit wooly headed today!
