On days like these.....

On a few days each year I want to get a skip and throw the entire contents of my wardrobe in it. Today is one of those days. I have lots of stuff, but the wrong stuff. I am I need between sizes so I have lots of things that feel slightly big, others too small. Has anybody actually thrown out the majority of their wardrobe and started again? I am holding out for that mythical day when I lose that final stone and then buy less clothes that I really like, that I don’t buy because they cover up a lump or flabby bit, and life is a whole lot simpler. Just a mini rant really. The sun is out, I should be out there, but I have just put on my flimsiest trousers and I look like MC Hammer, but my others are too tight!

Yes I feel like this too. I'm at a weird point in life too where I think I need more grown up clothes but have drawers full of cheap shit I bought ten years ago.
I'll brave it one day, just the nightmare of clothes shopping putting me off.

Yes, this is me most summers when the hot weather starts and I always despair. I live in jeans and hate how I look in most dresses, skirts and shorts. I also detest the fact that in order to get my legs out I'd need to shave everyday, keep my toenails polished and probably keep up a decent gradual tan as my legs are so pale they are in a stark contrast to the rest of me. Fake tan goes streaky and it's just a total pain in the bum looking reasonably groomed everyday!
This year I'm lucky enough to have a bit more disposable income and have started pretty much from scratch and have bought loads of clothes from Hush and scrapped loads of my old stuff.
I like only having to choose from one place! There's too much choice nowadays it can be overwhelming.

This is exactly how I feel at the moment. I spent a ridiculous amount online last night, the main reason is because I've ordered everything in two sizes. Not quite one or the other. I know I'd feel so much better if I shifted a stone, or two. I lose motivation easily. I love summer, hate summer clothes, well on me anyway. Lots of clothes, nothing I actually want to wear.Confused

I agree with Ella it all becomes so much easier if you only have one or two places you buy clothes from. I find if I go into town shopping it's very easy to panic buy if you can't find something, and also there's nearly too much choice. I am a shopper and enjoy a days shopping but tend much more now to enjoy the stopping for coffee, browsing and probably buy more books than clothes on the high st.
I tend to shop as Ella said nearly exclusively in Hush, with odd bit from White Company, Jigsaw, M&S. I find it so much easier now I've found somewhere who clothes really suit and less really is more.
