Glycolic acid

Can anyone tell me a bit about it?

I've bought Superdrugs own Naturally Radiant Glycolic Tonic today to try out.
I was originally looking at the overnight peel but it sounded a bit heavy to start off with.

It says on the bottle it "retexturises the skins surface" which I guess is something I'm aiming for - a smoother look (I don't really get spots but my skin always look quite "textured" IYKWIM) and a brighter complexion but as I haven't used anything like this before I'm a little apprehensive and unsure as to what to expect.

If it helps I'm 24.

I've tried the overnight peel and I have the pads (this is the sagey green packaging IIRC)

It did leave my skin really smooth , I liked it but it was a bit lavender smelling for me (I can't abide lavender since I had morning sickness)

I've got the Optimum Glycolic Peel now , it works really well.

My skin is 'normal' I'm nearly 52 so I don't have breakouts or oil patches but my skin isn't dry either.

I apply it (don't get it near your eyes though) , shower off the next morning. Nice .
