Makeup for early 50’s

I am early 50’s. Never been a big makeup wearer (always factor 30+ sunscreen though - so skin not so bad for my age)
Often just lipstick or small amount of eyeshadow. Eyelashes tinted (contact lens wear)
I am quite fair, blonde hair naturally
I am thinking that as I get older my makeup needs to be more light reflecting - so subtle lipstick, taupe shades and neutral eyes?
Have been a big Bobbi Brown fan but currently feel the quality is getting worse.
My favourite lippy currently is coach coral from Charlotte Tilbury.
I would like a suitable red lipstick but just can’t find anything.
Clothes wise like cos - but no store where I live and their website is impossible. Also like Toast (in sales!)
My favourite thing is a red velvet vintage coat which I adore.

Anyone any hints, thoughts about makeup at this age- all suggestions greatfully received

Bumping for you

Mid fifties here, just discovered the joy of a red lip! Ruby Woo by Mac, thanks to the Parisian thread. People keep telling me how well I look. I think it takes the attention off my eye bags

Have been getting eyelash extensions which save me so much time and hassle with mascara, but losing a lot of my own lashes so having to give them a rest.

Ordinary products have improved my skin to the extent I'm using Kiko BB cream rather than foundation.

I read a lot of comments on groups, saying that B.B. cream often works much better than foundation when you're 50+ as it looks less cakey, doesn't sit in any fine lines etc.

Recommended: Rimmel, Bourjois, No 7 (they have 3 for different skin types).

50 here. I’ve been reading up on this and apparently we’re supposed to have our teeth whitened and wear flattering necklines in anything but black. Not sure about makeup as it’s so subjective, but I imagine that less is more.
