The grey is winning

Sorry no real point to this thread other than to vent my horror about the fact that my grey hair is winning the battle over my time and energy to go to the salon and keep dying them! I have really dark hair (did anyway) so they've been showing up for a few years now.
Also they are short (new hair I guess - fark) so if my hair is back they stick up!
Anyone else use time in traffic jams, with that pure daylight in the rear view mirror, to spend time plucking them out? Although when it was the odd one it was easy but now I'd prob end up bald!!
I'm only 39 (40 end of the year). I'm not really feeling bothered about my age as such as I'm happy in life and don't feel "old" and this week two people have expressed surprise at my turning 40 this year as apparently I look younger. I'm not really a well groomed person, my weight goes up and down, sometimes I dress scruffy and sometimes make an effort - I suppose I've always considered myself low maintenance but when I was younger it was easy for me as I was naturally good looking (I don't mean that in a vain way I hope u understand- what I mean is that I never had to make an effort when younger so now I probably do need to do so it isn't a natural part of my life!) - I don't personally know how old I look (who does?) and just assumed I look my age, so was flattered by these comments but tonight I'm doing my hair for a "do" tomorrow and the damn new LED "day light" pot lights in the bathroom are killing my young vibe by showing all the grey hair which gets more and more each month it seems !!
Thanks for listening
