Knee-length or just above, roomy, practical shorts?

The sort I envision are neither particularly stylish or beautiful, but I thought this would be the best place to ask.

As above, looking for comfy, robust longish shorts for the summer. Ideally with a relatively high waist. In size 16 or 18, and not exorbitantly expensive. Any leads would be much appreciated!

No idea. Let me know when you find them as I am after the exact same thing! I used to have a couple of gorgeous knee length pairs from White Stuff but they don’t seem to do them any more.

Not quite knee length but longer than they look in the photos, fairly high waisted, wear well with big pockets.

Sainsburys do a basic cotton jersey pair of shorts in a few colours that are comfy and just above knee.

Area also have some just below knee dropped trousers in a linen like fabric with back waist classification that are comfy and roomy.

Neither will win style awards but both practical and cheap.

Fat Face bermudas if they are a staple (got mine last year).

Ahh thank you all - they all look fab but a bit out of budget . I’m trying these ones from Amazon but suspect they may be too cheap to be decent... Will also keep stalking eBay for the fat face and lands end ones!

George at Asda have loads in for about £12.

I keep wearing my husbands shorts,
They're from Primark and they do them in various colours. They're just above my knee and the best shorts I've ever worn!
They're the same material as jogging pants. I've had them on today and I haven't been too hot in the heat.
I'm going to Primark to get some for my holiday.

Sainsburys have denim Bermuda shorts in at the .moment for £14 a pair. Light or Dark denim. I have been hunting for decent shorts for my stumpy legs for forever and stumbled across them this morning! They are a smidge below my knee (5'3") but come wirh folded cuffs so you can adjust the length a bit.
