What do you want from a foundation?

I like full coverage, no sight of the skin underneath, just smoothness. I'm about to stock my kit as a make up artist and have always been taught not to do this generally.

What do you look for?

I’ve never found a good foundation they are always too cakey and doesn’t look great on my skin.

Full coverage but also natural looking, so your skin looks flawless but not fake and caked on. I also have oily skin so a foundation that combats this :)

I prefer a lighter coverage. Enough to blur the imperfections and dull the areas of pigmentation, but not so much cover you can't see my skin if that makes sense.

The main 2 things I look for are:
1- No silicones (doesn't suit my skin- causes spots)
2- Pale enough and doesn't oxidise!

The same as 45 degrees. I like some level of mineral sunscreen too as I am a milk white Celt .

Im same as you OP. Proper full coverage and airbrushed

Exactly the same as itallhappens said, although not so oily now that I'm late 50s. Last one I bought was a Bobbi Brown serum foundation, nice coverage and a nice dewy finish. But I always go back to EL Doublewear Light. I love the coverage and I found the perfect shade for me. I just think its a bit heavy on hot (ha!) summer days. Thats why I'm constantly trying out other ones.

Very light coverage now that I'm over 40. Anything heavy makes me look a bit too Bette Davis Baby Jane.
