Ilse Jacobsen coat - broken zip

Does anyone have an Ilse Jacobsen coat with a waterproof zip?

And if so, does anyone know if that zip is replacable or is the coat basically now useless if the zip is broken?

I've managed to pull it apart getting out of the car in awful weather (I was concentrating on holding the door with both hands to prevent it flying open and the zip split at my knees). While I got it pulled together again to re-open it, the end has pulled off the fabric slightly so it's not staying "put" to close.

Is there anywhere I can get a suitable waterproof zip, or get it replaced?

It was perfect for commuting and standing on cold, windy, wet train platforms all winter long.....

F. The same has happened to mine today! Did you make any progress?

Funnily enough, a family friend had an Ilse Jacobsen with a broken zip and tracked down a place in Yorkshire who could repair it. She actually drove there while on holiday and dropped it off, and they posted it back to her. I don't think it was the cheapest (£40? £50?) but obviously cheaper than a new coat. I'll ask her for the details.

A good tailor could fix or replace a zip

Hi, the details are: Lancashire Sports Repair, 19 Athletic Street, Burnley BB10 4LP, LSR for short.

Found the URL: lancashiresportsrepairs.co.uk They look good and I know my friend was very happy with the service.

Mine is gone too, got it caught under my foot after kneeling down to see to my DD.

I still have the slider that I pulled ff so I am hoping an alterations place can get it back on and fix it. Not had a chance to get to one yet.

Thanks for this, I am going to use them
