After a winter of washing my hands dozens of times a day in an effort not to catch viruses, my hands and particularly my cuticles are in a right state. Dry and cracked and bleeding.

Please recommend me something that works!

Thank you.

Aveeno with the blue cap is fab, very moisturising but not greasy. Overnight you could try the Body Shop hemp hand protector.

Following with interest

Superdrug have a great one and it's really cheap.

OhWifey · 19/04/2018 13:53

Body Shop hemp

letiziana · 19/04/2018 13:53

O'keefes even on cracked bleeding sore hands. It is brilliant.

goose1964 · 19/04/2018 23:58

Norwegian formula, it's the business

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 20/04/2018 00:01

either Body Shop Hemp hand protector or Kamill Intensive hand cream. I get very very dry and sore hands and both of these are great, have stopped me itching and scratching at my fingers until they bleed

PleaseDontGoadTheToad · 20/04/2018 00:42

Soap and Glory hand food.

justinhawkinsnavalfluff · 20/04/2018 00:50

Another big vote for body shop hemp!!

MiniDoofa · 20/04/2018 00:58

Nutrogena Norwegian formula as PP says. Amazing stuff. Even if you can only manage to put it on at night, makes a huge difference. Literally saved my skin when I had two kids in nappies and washed hands eleventy million times a day. Smile

anniemagoo · 20/04/2018 09:07

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. That's given me plenty to go on! I'll soon have lovely hands! Grin

Another for Norwegian Formula here. Really great stuff. Really rich but not greasy.

Oxfordblue · 20/04/2018 19:48

Diprobase - the one without alcohol, in fact make sure to avoid alcohol as it irritates your hands even more.

ChaosTheories · 20/04/2018 21:18

Another vote for O'Keefes. It's excellent.

whysorude · 21/04/2018 10:15

Second Diprobase. About £2.50 the chemist and lasts an age. I have terrible hands that crack and peel and this Is the only thing that consistently works. As PP wrote, stay away from alcohol based creams and also those highly perfumed as they irritate the skin.

BagelGoesWalking · 21/04/2018 10:28

This is meant to be incredible, not just for moisturising but for anti ageing. Rave reviews from users. It is more expensive than most creams so it's worth waiting until Black Friday deals which were good last year.

thefirstmrsdewinter · 21/04/2018 13:45

Weleda Skin Food is waxy and protective, almost like a barrier cream, and hard to wash off. Smells great too, like lemon verbena.
