Help buying swimsuit online

Hi all,

I need to buy a swimsuit to wear when taking DS for swimming lessons. Just something plain is fine (I've actually not worn a swimsuit since I was a teenager, I've only had bikinis). Main question is I want to buy online as I don't have time to go out swimsuit shopping! Any tips for good sites and how to go about this?!

Thank you!!

Have you looked at John Lewis? I have recently bought several swimsuits online from them.

If you just want cheap and cheerful try Sports Direct, if you're happy to spend a bit more, look at Wiggle.

Just remember that it's heaps better than trying on in the shop ...
Boden? Plenty of styles (all quite forgiving!). Some in different lengths. Quick delivery and easy returns. Order lots and lots in different styles and sizes and take your pick.

Going up a size in a swimsuit if you have big boobs or big bum can be a good move, as the elastane snaps to all the right places anyway and there's some give in the fabric where you need it. Definitely look for adjustable straps - crossover at the back can be more comfortable for real swimming.

I've just bought a nice M&S one, not too mumsy, it's navy with a laced plunge front and secret tummy control. My stomach is really wrinkly after the birth of no.2 so I wanted it covered but not a sports style costume.

I've just got a seafolly one on asos reduced to £40 from £100.
Never had a seafolly before and now wish I could afford them every time.
Sizing up is also a good idea.

Thanks everyone really helpful. I went for one from John Lewis, we shall see...

Blibblibs I know, Seafolly is great. Australian swimwear is the best. I used to buy Jets, they are so flattering and made me feel amazing but seriously expensive.
