Is this suitable for a first date?

Yes I know it's Boohoo.com but I'm skint... first date Friday with someone I'm quite keen on. He's taking me to a bit of a naice restaurant but I've been in for cocktails and drinks it's not ott dressed up. I was thinking this with black tights and flat, black over the knee boots. Does that sound acceptable?

I think that looks lovely and the whole outfit sounds spot on - I'd have a backup though as Boohoo are so unpredictable! Enjoy your date

I've had that dress in my basket for ages, I really like it! I wouldnt wear it with over the knee boots though, probably black block heeled ankle boots.

I really like it! But Boohoo quality can be variable. Have a back up as it might look nothing like the picture or it could completely disintegrate an hour into your night leaving you with gaping holes in your dress (this happened to a friend at a wedding).

It’s a very cute dress. It may still be a bit warm on Friday so ankle boots might look a bit more appropriate and casual

Yes, it's a nice 1st date dress but I would also rethink the boots.

Lovely dress but yes, end of April and approx 22 degrees (depending on where you are) is ankle boot weather at most.
