I was after any experience of tummy tucks.
Ive thought long and hard about this
I was v overweight as a child very overweight as an adult.
I lost around 8 stone.
Im at a maintained weight now and have been for years now, im 36.
I hate the loose skin on my stomach. Hate it
No amount of exercise is ever going to shift it. Im 5 2 and a size 10/12 i still weight as slightly over weight on the bmi.
I reckon down to the loose skin.
I Hate it. Its my stomach and kind of hangs over on my hips.
I have slightly loose skin on my arms and thighs, i can live with this, my boobs aren't great but i can live with that too
Has anyone had a tummy tuck? Any experience?
Thanks

I had one 2 months ago. Was hard work, not at all painful but first 6 weeks of recovery were hard hard work, totally exhausting and felt quite emotional.

Mine was a big deal, 2.5kg of skin and a scar that goes over one hip and all the way around over another. Really glad I did it, just make sure you have lots of help for at least 6 weeks. You can't lift anything heavier than a kettle!!!

Thank you.
Are you happy with the results?
And how much did you pay.
Ive really thought so much about this.
I know plastic surgery is not a magic fix but it really is ruining my life having this extra skin.

I paid 12k but you can get it done for around 8k if you shop around. I really liked the surgeon and was willing to pay a bit more.

I am happy with the results. I have a lot of stretch marks left so I don't have a perfect tummy but it's nice not to have to tuck it into my trousers!!

Are you planning any kids in the future? Its advisable to finish your family before having it done.

No im done. Im waiting to have my tubes tied.
I know I'm going to have stretch marks, scars etc.
I just hate the legacy of being overweight.
I can't look at myself in the mirror, i still feel overweight.
It makes me feel so sad.
Ive had cbt and stuff for self esteem, but matter how else i feel about everything else my stomach is just there.
Thanks for your reply x

It's probably the most expensive cosmetic surgery out there.
Its so cruel that the work ive into losing weight healthily and maintaining it and my body won't ever recover with out surgery.

Tummy tucks are worth it, you can even use the excess to use for a boob job at the same time if your breasts are saggy from losing weight.

I've seen a few being done in surgery and its a safe procedure with excellent results.
Many women are up and about fairly soon actually and the difference is very noticable.
