Summer tops if you're 'busty'

SpaghettiDinner · 16/04/2018 20:12

I've just been trying on clothes for my holiday next month and will have to send every top I ordered back for looking like tents.

Has anyone seen any nice tops for big boobs? I'm a 12/14 and wear a 32g. All the tops I ordered just hang off the 'shelf' and are too big on my waist.

Bravissimo have a clothing range now including tops for those of us big on top!

The price of the bravissimo tops is😥. I usually wear high street tops and put up with the loose waist.

SpaghettiDinner · 16/04/2018 20:45

A couple of the Bravissimo tops look good! They seem to do a lot of black though which isn't so summery.

Yes goose they are expensive aren't they? I really liked the look of a simple jumpsuit they have but £70 is a lot for a casual, holiday outfit.

I have a slouchy tshirt from asda that has a moderate v neck and is in a very light clingy fabric, so it goes in under my boobs (34g/h) and is super flattering. Of course I only bought one and they don't sell it any more but I'm on the hunt for similar.

These are fitted and lovely. With stretch. Maybe worth a try? Make sure you find a discount code and free returns on the promo thread

I am a 34G and just got some lovely ones from New Look.

30G here... I like the 3.99 jersey vests from H&M for something plain and sleeveless to wear with loose trousers or denim shorts. Also a fan of this t-shirt because it's loose without being too tenty and looks good tucked into things too: www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/product/women-drape-crew-neck-short-sleeve-t-shirt-403640.html

If you're after a jumpsuit I've tried these ones and can confirm that they work with boobs but it's worth a wee trawl through H&M's jumpsuits anyway!

Thanks oly ordered the pink!

I should have said my three Boden short sleeve Bretons fit well as the better quality jersey stops them going too baggy on the waist. I just think three Bretons is probably my limit.

Muddy that sounds like the sort of thing I need. You've reminded me of a cowl neck top I had years ago that had ruching on the side to keep it nipped in.

Thanks Taco and sticky. I haven't shopped at New Look or H&M for a while. I check them out. The jumpsuits look fab and a great price.

I've got a few of these in various colours for summer . I'm Size 10 and 32 g ( I don't like wearing 30g because it feels too tight 😬)

Gannetseatfish · 16/04/2018 21:51

This is me too, anything fitted around the boobs makes me look like Stormy Daniels (30G at the moment as bf) I’ve just bought a couple of v neck jersey vests from the dreaded white stuff which I’m hoping might look okay. They have a bit of detailing to draw the eye and aren’t too low, fingers crossed

Liz38 · 16/04/2018 21:57

The best stuff I've had (30FF) is Bravissimo. I tend to bite the bullet and buy fewer clothes but go for top halves/dresses from there knowing that they'll be worn over and over and I'll get my money's worth. I do have to be careful though with wrap tops, I'm very short (you might not be) and the v tends to end in a more interesting place than I'm comfortable with! I wear a lot of vests underneath...

Viviene · 17/04/2018 10:11

I don't particularly like Brsvissimo, their cut is weird and V-neck usually too deep for my liking and I would expect better quality for the money.

That being said, I still buy from them because sometimes I just have to. ;)

SpaghettiDinner · 17/04/2018 21:02

I've ordered some bits from H&M to try and think I will get a few Bravissimo bits too. I sometimes find they come up short (I'm 5,8) but will see how I get on.

Will report back!
