Has anyone had these done? Currently preg with last child and as we are now done having anymore babies I was planning on having these surgeries when this one is about 2/3. Not interested in reasons why I shouldn’t do it as money won’t be tight and it’s not about hating myself as I really don’t- just my body really didn’t take well to pinging back after children! Would love to hear anyone’s experience, costs and where you went. Preferably all uk based! Thanks!

I went to discuss it with someone at Gatwick spire private hospital . They were really nice and didn't try and convince me to have it done . I actually wanted lips but he said my skin has lost its elasticity Ans that only a Tummy tuck would help but to think about it . I really liked him.
They offer free initial discussions too which is good .
I'd love a tummy tuck and can afford it but I'm scared in case I get an infection 😬😬....

Hey thanks for your reply! Yeah I’m worried about infection too- I had one after my csection but it wasn’t helped by the fact the incision was under my giant belly flap 🙄 I’m nervous as everyone says the recovery is gruelling- but everyone said that about csections too and I was fine after mine! First two weeks were tough but not too bad, had to do school runs as normal after that!

I don't think it can be as bad as a c section because surely they don't cut as deep ? I found recovery really bad from mine but it's healed perfectly now .

That’s what I thought but I think it’s because they cut a lot of skin away and then pull it all down and reconnect at the bottom! They also go in and stitch muscles back together I think (atleast in women who’ve had kids) yeah same! My incision healed so beautifully I think that’s why I wouldn’t mind having a massive TT scar!
