Flattering mom jeans

I’m after some flattering mom jeans. I’ve tried the new look ones but I seem to be between sizes. Anyone got any others that are flattering? (I’m a size 12)

I think it's an oxymoron tbh... maybe just may shape though!

Macarena1990 · 15/04/2018 12:46

I nearly cried when I tried the topshop ones on!

I know I think I might be asking too much!

I just want some jeans I can wear with a t shirt and flip flops. Any recommendations welcome!!

The Topshop ones always look nice but I’ve never tried them on. Worth a try.

I think you just have to try lots on. I went shopping for jeans last week as I wanted something a bit different to my usual skinnies. I am very slim but some of the jeans I tried on looked truly terrible! Sizing is also really variable.

Dont know if you can get them in the UK, but ‘Not Your Daughters Jeans’ are fab. Lots of lycra and pockets and seams placed to flatter the more mature body. Their claim is that they make you look a size smaller, and I think they do that for me. They are also comfy!

H and m skinny ankle or girlfriend jeans are what I wear with t shirt and flip flops .
I don't think mom jeans are very flattering unless you want to add bulk .

Mom jeans from M&S. But try a variety of shops because the fit varies such a lot.

Lifeaback · 15/04/2018 14:10

Avoid the top shop ones at all costs! The trick with mom jeans are to get ones which aren't stiff (the topshop ones are insanely stiff) as they are only flattering on tiny waisted 18-24 year olds it would seem. I have these (m.asos.com/only/only-vintage-wash-mom-jean/prd/8338210?affid=14179&channelref=product%20search&mk=abc&currencyid=1&ppcadref=761030380%7C39786604523%7Caud-108719242581:pla-363127621854&_cclid=v3_18b93484-4871-522a-9db7-d3f35e4bf6dc&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIyOWOyOS12gIVLpPtCh0g0QCWEAQYAyABEgLlyvD_BwE) ones and they're super soft and flattering

DD has been going mad for the top shop ones but I think they make her look big.

She’d usually a size 8 (has got size 6 in some clothes though they are getting tight)but in these she’s had to go up to a size 10 as they wouldn’t go over her thighs. As a consequence I think they look too baggy round the bum.

BobLoblawLawBlog · 15/04/2018 16:37

Have you tried a relaxed skinny or a high waist girlfriend fit? Casual and slightly retro fit but also much more flattering on the bum than a mom.
