Yes I make my own too with olive oil and sugar. I've recently started adding lemon juice for its fruit acid peel quality.

Sounds as good as anything ,i think i will try it, but my skin might be too far gone,im older than 61,lol

I'm another big fan of the Korean cloths, bought them after reading the ravings on here and they are great! Only downside is i still can't reach most of my own back but i don't suppose that's their fault.

I tried my Korean cloth last night ( I bought green and pink, used the green one)

Worst bit was a 30 minute hot bath with no bubbles just boring plain water.

Tried it on my legs..... nothing . Then my arms and buttocks Grin the skin peeled off like nobodys business !
I did a quick squirt of VitE spray (Superdrug) then had a sauna today .

Preens at beautiful smooth skin.

Fatballsandsunflowerseeds Do you warm the olive oil first, guessing you do, going to try it tonightGrin

No I don't warm it, I mix up a batch in a Tupperware tub and keep it in the bathroom. It doesn't feel cold, and the sugar/salt is only slightly damp. Smile

lovemylover · 27/04/2018 20:49

Ahh,right, thank you will try that and try the lemon juice with it too

Sorry meant to ask, how much sugar to olive oil, i have just got a small bottle for now to try it

Well what I do is add the sugar first then add olive oil a bit at a time and mixing until it is the consistency you like- I don't like too much olive oil or it's hard to get any friction from the scrub. I like it about the consistency of wet sand Smile

lovemylover · 27/04/2018 22:26

Oh ok, thank you, going to try that now Smile

I have the Korean towels and have tried them a few times after soaking in the bath for ages. Nothing comes off!

Soap and Glory scrubs are nice but for me what works best are the hand gloves. You just wear them, wet them and squirt body wash an scrub away. Feels much better than anything else afterwards.

villainousbroodmare · 28/04/2018 08:31

Microbeads are horrifically destructive to the environment. I couldn't watch them going down the drain now that I know that.
I like the scrubby gloves with a good rich shower cream.
Be careful with oily scrubs immediately prior to fake tanning as they can make it very patchy.

I use a body brush which I got from Boots. I give my legs a good dry brush before showering. And I’ve swapped from shower gel to Argan Oil soap (£3 from Waitrose) and my skin feels so much better.
