Make up remover

I'm not a big make up wearer, but I'm starting to wear it a bit more often in an attempt to make more effort with my appearance.

At the moment I'm just using cheapo Wipes but it I'm sure that's not the best way to clean my face in the evening.

Looking for some make up remover recommendations, please!

I use Bioderma micellar water but the Garnier alternative is supposed to be good too.

I also like the Garnier and Simple cleansing lotions.

I really love Body Shop camomile cleansing butter. It lasts ages and feels lovely. It gets my skin clean without stripping it.

Second the BodyShop Camomile

DD uses the liquid and the balm (she does wear a shed load of make-up though- you know the No Make-Up Make-Up look that takes 30 products and the effect is polished but not Made-Up)
It all has to come off somehow Grin

PrettyWisdomous · 15/04/2018 10:45

70 haha that sounds very contradictory, but I know what you mean!

Body Shop Camomile Balm Cleanser to get makeup off, followed by La Roche Posay Toleriane Dermo Cleanser or Avène Extremely Gentle Cleanser to clean skin without stripping it.

FoodGloriousFud · 15/04/2018 10:47

I use Lancôme bi-facil followed by a hot cloth cleanse.

WeeM · 15/04/2018 10:56

Body shop camomile balm with their soft cleansing cloth, life changing...all make up just melts off

peachypetite · 15/04/2018 10:57

Stop using cheap wipes, they are awful for your skin!

Aprilmightbemynewname · 15/04/2018 10:58

Simple range. Always on 3-£5 somewhere!!

Youradviceneeded · 15/04/2018 12:48

I like the Garnier micellar water for sensitive skin, in the pink lidded bottle. It even easily takes away benefit they're real mascara, which takes done shifting.

PrettyWisdomous · 15/04/2018 13:02

Lots of suggestions for the Body Shop camomile here, will have to try that Smile

For those that have mentioned micellar water, does it need to be washed off after?

I've been using Garnier SkinActive cleansing milk with rosewater and Ultrabalm by Lush with either the tea tree or rose toner after.

Lifeaback · 15/04/2018 14:13

I use the garnier micellar water followed by khiels everyday face wash. If I'm feeling lazy/it's late/Ive had too much wine I use just the micellar water and it's fine it takes off all makeup but I use a cleanser after as I'm prone to breakouts so just like to be extra thorough

userxx · 15/04/2018 14:18

No micellar water doesn't need to be washed off. I use the boots cucumber one, it's brilliant at removing makeup.

PrettyWisdomous · 15/04/2018 15:38

Thanks for all the suggestions!

I would wash off Micellar water. It says you don't have to, but why leave a cleansing agent, however gentle, on your skin. You rinse your hands after washing them with soap, so why leave it on your face?

PrettyWisdomous · 16/04/2018 20:28

Good reasoning bagel!
