Summer sandals help please!

If there's already a thread on this apologies and please point me in the right direction.
I'm after some sandals for summer which are going to make me elegant and sexy and lose about a stone in appearance.

My very stylish friend was wearing some Swedish hasbeens, these I think, and they looked ace on. My holiday wardrobe is looking like hush marseilles black shorts, hush ditsy fringe skirt, old denim shorts and a succession of navy / paler / bright orangey red tops. This seems to suit my colouring according to said friend. Oh and bring coral lipstick is essential for this.

I want some flattish, low key but not too boring sandals to complete the look. I don't live near friend and see her occasionally so she's given me permission to copy her sandals, but I was wondering if there are any alternatives which don't have a wooden sole as I'm worried I'll slip and slide everywhere, plus I like to bend my sole when I walk.

I'm not sure if I'd go black or navy, might buy both and see which I prefer in the flesh with my clothes

Any suggestions really appreciated!

Thanks for the reply Hell, but they're somehow missing the mark for me. I think the hasbeens get the right balance of frumpy librarian vs quirky sexpot for me, but these are too far on the frumpy side of the balance to my eyes

Birkenstocks have got some lovely sandals on their website. The ones I like are £90 though Hmm

If you fancy Birkenstock try TKMaxx or Amazon for discounted prices. I bought black snakeskin ghiza for under £40 on Amazon last year

Saltwater sandals are super comfy and i think quite stylish although i know many hate them.

I actually love the seasalt sandals......I’m usually really fussy and end up with none!

Clarks have done a hasbeens copy- they are squidgy and lights as have fake wood plastic soles. I have a pair in every colour, they're amazing.

They have some left on the outlet store website

Wooden clogs are comfier than you might imagine. I can happily wear mine all day though maybe not to walk miles and miles. Mine are from Lotta from Stockholm which are a bit cheaper than Hasbeens but I really like your friend's pair!

I've only just been able to see the pics on the Swedish etc site ---- my suggestion won't do for you at sll I'm afraid.
