Ubiquitous black 'going out-out' top

Whilst trying to find something to wear to go out this weekend I realised I don't have a decent black top for going out-out (I realise this every time I'm going out but never get round to doing anything about it).

And after a quick google of my usual shops, I can't find what I'm looking for.

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to find a dressy black top, maybe a bit edgy, don't mind a bit of sparkle, prefer v-neck or open neck.

Size 14(ish). Budget, up to £50.

Any suggestions?

That sounds like the holy grail of clothing right there. Good luck.

I had a fantastic lb outout top many years ago. I miss her dearly

You're not helping @TinyPawz Although I suspected that might be the case.

Following!

Found this. It's a bit pricier than I'd like. And I'd prefer an open neck. But it's the closest I've found so far.

I've got this, but I'm not sure if it is dressy enough for what you are looking for:

Apparently everything I like is by Wallis...

i like a bardot. asos usually have a few but i suppose it depends on which assets you want to display.

NeonK · 13/04/2018 19:49

They should be paying you commission @Gammeldragz 😂 I prefer your second one of the three. But I don't love it. And my mum shops in Wallis!

@SuburbanCrofter I love that t-shirt and might buy it. But you're right, it's not for going out out.

Try All saints.

NeverTalksToStrangers · 13/04/2018 19:57

I love this but couldn't do a plunge now. Maybe back in the day.

At least it's something different!

Gammeldragz · 13/04/2018 19:59

Neon, I don't actually own anything by Wallis, they just happened to have several contenders, lol
Yeah you have to love it or not worth it.

Pippin8 · 13/04/2018 19:59

I have this, I love it.

@NeverTalksToStrangers wow, that asos one. I'm about 20 years too old to pull that off!

Will check out All Saints, not convinced by the one linked but didn't think of them (although I'm probably too poor for themGrin)
