Tell me what’s wrong with my bra (pics)

Any expert bra people out there I’d love your advice!

I’ve just measured and I’m 30” underneath and 38” round the boobs. My current bras are a 32E but I’m pregnant and my boobs have grown since I bought them. However I’ve had the issue with the side fat and armpit fat the whole time. Is this just the wrong shaped bra for me? I’ve never liked balconettes as it’s uncomfortable between the boobs and I also like wearing scoop or v neck tops (not massively low I just look terrible in a crew neck). This bra is from Wacoal and I like that it has thick material on the cups which is a necessity, and it’s fairly comfortable.

Is it wrong size or wrong bra or both? Or do I just have to put up with the awful overhang?

I think the bra needs to provide more support actually between the cups and the band needs to be able to sit higher. The band issue may be due to pregnancy. The breasts look as though they are just held up by it, rather than supported. You breast will be heavier with developing breast tissue since you are pregnant.

Personally I would favour a slightly more covered cup to help with support at this stage.

You need to look on Boob or bust! You wont believe the size youll measure at , but it works and the bras fit! X

Hello KristenRaymonde. I love the photo you used to illustrate how cup sizes are not the same, and change for every band size. I've explained this several times, but a picture is worth a thousand words!

Is this your photo? I'd like to ask permission to use it from you or whoever too the photo. I would use it to illustrate this concept on Reddit, in r/ABraThatFits, when I respond to questions from people. It would super great if I could add this photo to our page. I haven't asked the moderators yet, because I wanted to see if it's even possible to get permission first.

Thank you for you time and your right-on advice!

Cleaningmama :-)

P.S. You may look up my user name on Reddit, it is u/cleaningmama, and see that I've been commenting on r/ABraThatFits quite a bit recently.

@DonaldsTrump

Thank you so much everyone!! I really appreciate the advice.

I used to wear a Freya Deco before kids but sadly my boobs are no longer supported properly in them. This Wacoal one I'm wearing is similar but slightly has a little bit more coverage and it was the best one I'd found. However I think i probably need to try some balconette styles now to support the jiggle in the middle and hopefully even out the boobs to fill up the top bit of the cup a bit - if that makes sense??

I will have a look at all the styles people have suggested and i'm just going to try a range of sizes, but I think defiantly need a bigger cup. I'm a bit perturbed that I went on the Wacoal site and their own calculator says i'm a 34D! And I thought they were one of the good brands!!

If only this forum was around when I was younger, I spent most of my 20's in a 36B Hmm

@DonaldsTrump Bra fitter here, I used to be a Deco wearer when I was younger so I understand the issue!

You need a shorter, wider cup. Yours is simultaneously too long hence the gaps at the top and too narrow, causing the side bulging.

Best I’ve found without the gaping at the top has been a Freya half cup. Their Daisy Lace/Unchained work well for me, you can rarely find them in shops so I buy mine online. Fancies and Fearne are slightly shorter and flatter if you need to create more fullness at the top than the others give.
You may want to try a cup up as Wacoal are made for the American market (by the same people that make Freya/Fantasie).

Bravissimo do a short wide non padded balconette called Millie which might work too.
Annoyingly for me, the Panache Tango is the same kind of shape but the wires are way too long and stab my armpit.

I’ve yet to find a perfect fitting smooth replacement for Deco but the Fantasie Fusion and Evisage are worth a try.
