Pregnancy acne

What can I use for pregnancy acene? Its all over my chin and starting to get me down. I had v bad acne as a teenager and its triggering some negative thoughts about my appearance from that time. The only thing that got rid of it was the pill, though obviously not an option this time.

Can I use something otc like salicylic acid, I know I can't use retinoic and the midwife said nothing steroidal. Though I can't see why I would use steroidal.

The only thing that is minimising it at the moment is exfoliating my chin everyday, and I am not sure that is a good idea?

Watching with interest. 11wks here and skin is awful. Big sore cystic spots. Usually get one or 2 pre period but these are worse. Like you was on the pill for years (in my 20's) and immaculate skin then. Last 2 pregnancies skin was very clear and was really looking forward to that again this time but no such luck! Would love to know what to use but convinced it's hormonal and hoping it settles after this trimester!! How far on are you?
