Snag tights

Saw these on instagram and thought I would give them a try. Really impressed so far, packaged in paper and cardboard so was nice to be able to recycle all the packaging
I'm a size 14/16 but 5ft 10 and struggle with tights. I went for a size up as they advised to get the length and they fit perfectly
Big size range, I'm wearing them today so will see how they go on
Sizes up to a 26 as well

So far so good, they're not rolling down or creeping down for that saggy crotch look Grin

Just bumping this zombie thread to say I also fell for the social media ads. Bought some tights and some 'comfort shorts' from snag. I LOVE them! So far the schtick about them being tights that really fit is totally true: no sagging, or digging in. I realised that I have spent ages wearing tights that are either too short and need constant pulling up, or ones that are long enough but all wrinkly around my ankles. This pair are great! And not that expensive either - £7 a pair or less if you buy several, which is pricier than M and S, but less than other specialist tights brands.
I am not on commission, just a bit excited at the idea of wearing tights that fit this year.

auberginesrus · 29/08/2018 22:51

Oh that's good to know, have been eyeing then up, as I am short and dumpy so always struggle with rights. Good colour options too.

Gusthetheatrecat · 30/08/2018 12:48

I’m going to buy a tonne more pairs (don’t think they have pink / flesh tone at the moment though, curses) and wear them all winter; hooray!

RoseLillian · 02/11/2018 20:32

I looked at these, but I am unsure. I am short and a size 16-18. There size guide puts me in the same size as someone who is tall and a size 12-14. If I am to avoid the Nora Batty look, surely I need them shorter...

Ifonlyiweretaller · 02/11/2018 21:14

I bought them based on reviews on here - and although they dont creep down, i still find the waistband uncomfortable, despite selecting the size based on their charts. As one mumsnetter put it - i look like an ant! (generous top & bottom halvers, split in two by the tight waistband!)
Also bought the Heist ones and to be honest they cut me in half even more!
Disappointing as I had high hopes. I cant be that unusual a shape...

RoseLillian · 03/11/2018 14:53

Thanks for getting back to me Ifonlyiweretaller. I am an hourglass shape so my waist measurement is small in relation to my hips so I might be ok for the waist band. I take it from your username you aren’t very tall? Do you get the wrinkles round your ankles?

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 03/11/2018 15:02

Tights to avoid Nora Batty ankles?? Tell me more please!

ElleMcFearsome · 03/11/2018 15:21

I've bought a number of pairs and they are bloody marvellous. I'm a size 20 (gradually reducing) and they are a dream. Mine get washed and worn relentlessy as I work in opaques and a dress and have yet to show wear and tear (on 10+ wears for each pair now).

MammyHester9116 · 03/11/2018 15:23

I bought them and am 16-18 and 5 foot 1. They are great.
They have since brought out more colours and deniers. I now have 4 pairs! 😀

RoseLillian · 03/11/2018 18:42

MammyHester9116 it’s good to hear they work for you given you are the same height and dress size. ElleMcFearsome it’s good they are long lasting as I also wear tights all the time. I am currently still wearing my maternity tights (DD2 is nearly 7 months Blush. Seems increasing amounts of fabric is having to be tooked into my bra BlushBlush. Think I will give them a go.

WillowintheUK · 30/12/2018 09:25

How did people find delivery times? I've been waiting almost a fortnight (yes I know it's Christmas, but something I ordered on Friday arrived yesterday) and had wanted them for today. Not impressed, so the tights themselves had better be amazing!

OvertiredandConfused · 30/12/2018 09:52

Another convert! I’m 5’10” and fat. They fit perfectly

RoseLillian · 30/12/2018 20:32

Mine took a while to come. Got in contact and they said they had had problems with Royal Mail loosing a batch. Came soon after that. Though they are better than most tights I have tried I am not totally convinced. They still seem too long for me.

strangerthongs · 30/12/2018 21:17

they are fab! I only bought one pair and want to buy more but they don't have my size in stock. I think they are struggling to keep up with demand now.

justaweeone · 30/12/2018 22:10

I've just bought these by chance
They're fab!
Sized up , really comfy and no rolling down or baggy crotch https://www.matalan.co.uk/product/detail/s2699102_c101/1-pair-80-denier-3d-body-shaper-tights-black

MrsSchadenfreude · 30/12/2018 22:57

I didn’t like Snag. I could pull the waist up to my shoulders, but the legs didn’t seem long enough and the crotch worked it’s way down to mid thigh. Boots are better, I think. The Sheer tights were awfu - snagged easily, not enough Lycra, so had the Nora Batty effect.

ArfArfBarf · 30/12/2018 23:00

I bought 5 pairs at once after reading (probably this thread!) reviews on here. All but one pair snagged on the first wear.

TheClitterati · 30/12/2018 23:06

I'm 5'8" ex 20 and I love Snag tights. Excellent quality. I have about 10 pairs. They are soooo comfy.

MrsSchadenfreude · 31/12/2018 09:53

@TheClitterati - what size do you buy?

Trills · 31/12/2018 10:04

I had two pairs of the snag 80 denier that laddered within the first week of wear (and I don't remember the last time I laddered some tights) but the third pair are nice and fit well.

Not sure if that was an anomaly or if they are just not very robust.

itbemay · 31/12/2018 10:13

Love them. Wouldn't buy any others now. I'm 6ft tall and a size 16 and they are perfect!

itbemay · 31/12/2018 10:15

@Trills they did put something on Instagram about a bad batch so might be worth checking if they were your ones. They were refunding.

TheClitterati · 31/12/2018 10:33

@MrsSchadenfreude I got F but I could go down a size. It's just they are often out of stock on sizes. I will try an E next time I buy. There is lots of wiggle room in the F - they have a good size chart on the website.

TheClitterati · 31/12/2018 10:34

@Trills wearing my 80 deniers I feel like they would never get a ladder. They do seem very robust.
