Other than at £9+ on Amazon does anyone know where to get this stuff without paying this much for it?

Does it have to be Ponds?

Boots do an own brand, and I can't tell the difference

battenbergbutterfly · 13/04/2018 08:18

I didn't know! Thank you! I'll get some.

Boots sell Pond's cold cream

fleaflyflo · 13/04/2018 08:22

Is Pond's good??

battenbergbutterfly · 13/04/2018 09:25

@fleaflyflo it's brilliant stuff !!

formerbabe · 13/04/2018 09:32

I'm sure I've bought it in Boots before.

DandelionAndBedrock · 13/04/2018 09:35

£9?!

I pay about £2 at Savers. I love the stuff.

battenbergbutterfly · 13/04/2018 09:35

I'm off to Savers!!

Would this work as a cheap hot cloth cleanser?

tortelliniforever · 13/04/2018 09:42

I think it's the original hot cloth cleanser! I started using it thirty years ago when I discovered my gran (who had lovely soft skin) used it.

TitaniasCloset · 13/04/2018 22:47

Thanks!

Fullfatlatte · 14/04/2018 17:30

After reading this thread I found this in Savers for £2.49! Will report back, can’t wait to try it 😀

They sell it in pound world

Fullfatlatte · 14/04/2018 18:01

I was trying to find this one! Do you know if the pink lid one is just an updated version? Previous poster was correct, green tub is £9 on Amazon.

That green lid photo makes the jar look bigger?

I use the pink lid, not sure what the difference is. I think there might also be a blue lid one? They have definitely changed the texture so it is runnier now.

MintyT · 15/04/2018 05:38

I've used Ponds cold cream cleaner for years and years. Tesco and boots sell it never more than 3.99 and often on offer. I also use coconut oil which also is a very good cleanser

InfiniteSheldon · 15/04/2018 06:28

I've used it to remove eye makeup for lasr thirty years it's amazing

Fullfatlatte · 15/04/2018 09:55

Minty / Infinite - which one have you been using for years? The green lidded pot or the pink one? Thanks 👍

InfiniteSheldon · 15/04/2018 10:31

I use the he pink one you hardly need to use much so it lasts ages. I use the boots own one when I'm skint but the Ponds one is richer

fleaflyflo · 15/04/2018 19:04

Is it primarily a cleanser?

userofthiswebsite · 15/04/2018 19:10

Is it the same as the blue Nivea creme in feel, or the Nivea soft, or Astral or E45?
I've all the above so just wondering if this is different much.

InfiniteSheldon · 15/04/2018 20:31

No Astral and Nivea aren't even close

Fullfatlatte · 15/04/2018 21:53

Userofthis - I would say it’s a tad thicker than Nivea soft but not as thick as blue pot Nivea 😀

unicornandrainbows · 15/04/2018 22:25

Is it used as a cleanser or moisturiser?

MintyT · 16/04/2018 03:27

Sorry for late reply but it's the pink lidded one
