I think it will get hot if the sun is shining on you as dark colours absorb heat.

I bought it some years ago. Tailored to fit. It is silk so shouldn't be hot, but I will be in the UK, so cannot imagine being overly warm. Not sure we will be outside all that much.
Boringly my shoes and bag will be navy and I will probably wear a pearl necklace and earrings.
I do find hotel weddings rather a challenge, sartorially, though.
