Is there such a thing or will I end up looking like Prue Leith? I need something to liven up plain knits and I'm a bit bored of scarves. I quite like some in Oliver Bonas. Are they generally nice? Any other suggestions for the same sort of thing in the max £30-40 range?

(No offence to the wonderful Prue of course but we're not quite on the same wavelength style-wise Grin)

Look on EBay I've got some Mexican Silver with Malachite beads. Takes a bit of searching but you can get some bargains and have something unique. Mine are from the 70s

I love studio jewellery and wear some every day. Art galleries usually have interesting pieces in my experience, often at a range of prices.

By art galleries here, I mean places like the Royal Academy shop

You can also find some nice ones on Etsy and Folksy.

Do you mean stuff like Tatty Devine? They do some 'quirky' statement stuff?

Oliver bonas has what you want!

I have one similar to this from Cos, and lots of people have commented on it: www.cosstores.com/gb/Women/Jewellery/Short_metal_necklace/10672540-76418049.1#76418051

That Cos one is gorgeous! I'd never heard of Tatty Devine but they're a bit too bold for me. I'll look on Etsy too. Thanks!
