Help MNers! Having recently moved back to the UK I'm in dire need of the perfect pair of well cut, smart black trousers for work. They must be tailored looking, sleek looking (i.e. not bootcut), but definitely not skinny or cropped, not shiny, and be able to accommodate big thighs. A little stretch to the material would be great too.
I'm normally a size 16, but my thighs are my weak spot and if I go up to a size 18 they're too big on the waist AND I end up with the dreaded baggy crotch effect. I'm not quite big enough for Plus Size brands, but not quite small enough for the high street. I've tried losing weight, but it never goes from my thighs.
So I need something that will allow me to move (i.e. hang, rather than stick to my thighs), be able to take heels (32 or 33 inseam) and help me look smart and pulled together for work. I don't have a great deal of time to shop in person, so do everything online and end up very disappointed having to send everything back (which takes me weeks to get round to, sigh...) At this point cost isn't even an issue - I just need to find trousers that make me look and feel great, and confident at work. Any suggestions would be gratefully received please. If the trousers were also part of a suit with a well cut jacket that would be a bonus, but for now I just need the trousers...
