Age to start moisturising DC's faces?

This is going to sound like a bizarre post. Apologies!
So,I'm sitting here with all my dark sun spots on mottled skin and looking at DD's beautiful peachy blemish free skin. She's 5. I'm very careful with my face now, SPF 50, serums and all that so I was wondering when to start all that skin care for DD and DS...I obviously sunscreen them in the summer but on average cloudy/cool days I don't. Whereas for myself, I would slap on a moisturiser with a SPF of at least 15 to go out. Even if it's raining! I used to get terrible eczema so I body moisturise as habit and I also do the DCs bodies as I'm terrified they're going to get eczema and I know prevention is key. So question is, when do you start the facial moisturisers with the sun protection (vanity rather than sunburn) for your DC? Teens? Preteens? Now? Not super serums and essences but a bog standard moisturiser with a light spf?

Ds2 has super dry skin, and slaps a bit of moisturiser on in the morning and night. He asked for a separate face one like I use, so I bought a cheap Aldi day cream for him. He went for a sleepover at my parents, and was very impressed that my dm uses the same one.
