Want to 'update' my wardrobe

I've a small amount of cash to spend on clothes and want to look a bit more 'cool' and 'current'.

What items should I buy? I'm a size eight but a bit pear shaped, quite small of nork but larger of thigh. I was thinking high waisted jeans and cropped tops/jumpers? I'm not looking to be outrageously stylish but just a bit less dowdy. Because of being flat chested I find It's easy for my body to look quite rubbish so general tend to go for fitted tops or shorter things to accentuate my waist.

I think what you described sounds good - go for it!

Heya I'm a similar shape. Found the joules Monroe jeans amazing. Feel confidant and slim in them. Which is surprising because some of joules stuff is a bit twee!

What colour? And what size did you go for? Obviously not going to an actual shop lest I kill myself after four minutes

They are quite stretchy so I got an 8. I'm a 10 in topshop, an 8 was fine in joules. Got in indigo. They are the comfiest jeans I've had! And they come up quite high too although not 'high waisted'. They have a 20% discount coming up in a week or so if you Google it.
I want them in black no.
