Nails splitting far down (pic)

Has anyone got any tips on how to stop this? It happens to me so frequently and on almost every nail. TIA

I agree it's infuriating and also painful when you have to try and chop it off.

I get them from time to time but find they are more likely to occur if I don't protect hands & nails when cleaning (cilit-banging the bathroom for e.g.). Also less frequent when I wear OPI nail envy religiously too.

I have real problems with this.
The best method I’ve found is to put a thin film of superglue over the crack & spread it a little further over the nail, not the skin. Then use Nailtiques religiously, found it far more effective than other things like Nail Envy. I get No2 which is stronger than No1.

I get this all the time too. I don't know how to stop but I use the teabag method to patch it up until it grows enough to cut it without leaving my finger looking mangled.
