I have an important work event in a couple of weeks - a standing around for hours talking to important people type thing.

I think I've decided on this dress (which I already own) -

Any ideas for shoes? Happy to spend around £100 or a bit more although less would be nice!

Would those be mad? Maybe silver would be nice?

Wow. They are fantastic shoes!
Only question - would you be comfortable in them?
They'd certainly look lovely.

splendide · 11/04/2018 10:16

I'm not sure about the comfort - I can do heels OK with those pressure pad things. I think they'd be a bit uncomfortable by the end of the night but that might be a price worth paying this once!

I thought silver too. I’d be tempted to go for something like this - stylish and comfortable.

CrabbyJo · 11/04/2018 10:23

I wore those shoes to a wedding, 12 hrs wearing and it was only towards the end that I started to get sore feet, unheard of for me, usually after a few hrs I'm dying to take heels off.

@splendide
how about these? available in loads of colours too I think

I love those silver flats but I'm 5 nothing and I'll be looking up at colleagues all night as it is! I do wear flats usually (always just brogues to work) but this is quite a fancy event. I am pleased to heat the Ted Baker weren't too bad. This would be probably 3 hours or so.

What do people think of these?

These look like they might be a little more comfy ?

How about these? My friend has pairs of the courts in many colours as she says they’re so comfortable.

ShootingQuadrantids · 11/04/2018 20:45

Much prefer the first pair of shoes....very striking and classy.

RatRolyPoly · 11/04/2018 20:50

Nooooooo, not the Michael Kors ones, I much prefer the first pair you linked. They do look like they might hurt though; do you have some cushioned insoles? Everybody needs some!

What accessories are you planning? That might give me something to work with...

Laska5772 · 11/04/2018 21:00

Or a very light gold or snakeskin?

How about Pink with pink ? ( if its the right shade?

DontCallMeCharlotte · 11/04/2018 22:49

I love the first ones you linked. I would love to be able to wear these www.chichiclothing.com/products/Chi-Chi-Chloe-Heels.html

splendide · 12/04/2018 13:14

I've ordered the first ones to try - fingers crossed

I've got a dress very like that - i wear it with nude tights and black patent t bar stilettos from carvela - they look really good with it - i also pin a sparkly bow brooch on the neckline.

splendide · 12/04/2018 13:35

Oh yes sparkly brooch is a good shout!

Now I'm thinking I would like t bar. I'm so easily led!
