Resetting diamond ring

Does anyone know how much it would cost to reset a loose diamond in a ring? Thanks

I paid £140 in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham last summer.

I think it will vary in price depending the shop?

I changed setting on my ring and it was below £200, my mil was quoted £400-£500 to fix claw as it has already been fixed before.

Maybe best going to a few places?

I had a vintage aquamarine stone set into a white gold band a few years ago. Cost £200. Several jewellers I tried refused to do it in case they damaged the stone though.
