Please help me decide which trainers to keep!

I'm deciding between these two. I have them both at home to try but I need to return one pair:

I thought I would say the Vans over the Converse, but actually really like the style of those Converse and the fact they're leather! Which are most comfy? Just try them on with lots of outfits and see which you'd get the most wear out of? Sorry no help here.

The vans. Leather converse split across the foot really quickly , my son's were ruined within 3 months.

Thanks ... I've tried them both. I've had (still have) both Converse and Vans previously. I thought the Vans would be way more comfortable, but actually they're on a par as the Converse have a thicker sole than the normal canvas ones. So I really can't decide!

Also, when I ordered them a couple of weeks ago, the Converse were reduced to £52 so they were pretty much the same price (usually, if I can't decide, I'll go with whichever is cheaper!)

MagicFajita - we cross posted. Thanks for the opinion. My (11 yo) dd immediately said the Vans when I asked her. Not sure if that's good or bad as I'm in my 40s!

The Vans are gorgeous and better-made than Converse trainers, IMO.

I love the vans in dark grey and I also love the style of those converse esp in black.

I really like the Converse pro, breakpoint and one star styles at the moment.

The vans are lovely but my first thought was they'll look grubby after a couple of wears. The converse seem a more practical choice, and i think they would go with more too. I have no experience of the quality of either though!

Converse .. for me they are way more stylish .. I have a few white pairs in a similar design ( I prefer them to the hard backed ones bed )

So tough as they’re both lovely but the vans win it for me!

I would go for the Vans as I m a big fan of their trainers. I've had some for years and they are very hardwearing.

I prefer the style of converse that you linked. I really don’t like the baby blue colour of the vans and think they’ll get dirty very quickly and be hard to clean.

Thanks for all the opinions. I'm still torn. Yes, the Converse will go with more clothes and yes, the Vans may get dirty (I'm at work during the week though so they're not worn daily). But I really wanted the Vans originally and got swayed by the Converse when I put the order in! Still a majority for the Vans though. I'll try them both with everything in my wardrobe at the weekend and try not to convince myself that I "need" both!

Converse. Just because I like stars and dislike pale blue. Have a pair of waterproof leather Converse which are way more comfortable than the canvas ones. I also have two pairs of Vans so I 've done my research.

In general, the brand Vans is better, but on these specific pairs, the Converse are way nicer.

I'd keep the Vans. I love the colour.
