Clothes help!

Morning all.
I'm on a bit of a personal crusade to boost my self esteem a bit. One thing I want to do is sort out my wardrobe, but I don't know where to go to 'buy my style'. I usually grab stuff from Tesco/ TU/New Look, but never feel I've quite been able to get the look I want.
My ideal is hippy/beachy and rocky/edgy. Could anyone recommend where to go and how to do it? I'm willing to splash some cash, but struggle to justify spending too much.

If you want to splash the cash I would go to Zadig and Voltaire or Maje for rock chic. H&M do good cheap copies of this kind of thing. I think biker boots + flowery dress is probably a perfect combo and would recommend Free People for the boho dresses. I think New Look sometimes do achieve this as well. A good pair of jeans in a relaxed style with cheap H&M band t-shirts and red lippie would also work. Topshop for jeans? Also &otherstories have some good pieces. Have fun!
