Dd nose job

Aroundtheworldandback · 09/04/2018 22:27

Dd just had her nose done. Surgeon sent her for imaging prior to surgery which showed before and after pics of her face in line with what she wanted and we have it on a cd.

Although the bandage is still on, the tip of her nose looks much higher than we’ve planned. This surgeon came recommended via a good job he did on a friend of dd’s.

Does anyone have experience of something similar?

I think you need to wait until bandages are off and the swelling has gone down in a few weeks/months.

Agree with pp, dont make any assumptions untill the bandages are off and it is fully heeled, will take quite a few weeks for that to happen.

It takes months and months for the swelling to go down, especially the tip

Thanks so much. I’m not worried at all about the swelling, just the tip seems so high it’s pulling up her upper lip and I just don’t see how that can change. Will just have to wait. Thanks again.

Jesus, immediately post op is NO indication of what her nose will settle to. It takes a long time, ie 6-12 months for her nose to fully settle, there will be subtle changes along the way. How she looks post op is irrelevant as it hasn’t even begun to heal yet. The tip/pull on her upper lip can definitely change.

Thanks Camdenlife, that’s reassuring
