Sizing on Adidas Gazelles

Can anyone help with this please? I'm dithering over a grey pair but can't face dragging the toddler shopping. I wear a 4 in Superga or Converse, or a 5 in shoes/ boots usually.

I'm after something comfy that'll go with most jeans etc as I hare after said toddler. I'm pregnant too, hence the need for comfort.

You're going to tell me to try them on aren't you?

I usually wear 5 and am 5 in these, they are quite wide though, I can't wear converse or superga as I find them too narrow but gazelles are fine on me.

Agree they're nice and wide.

I normally take a 5.5 (EUR39) in shoes/trainers (and a 5.5 in superga FYI), but a 6 (EUR 39 1/3) in gazelles.

I think this is because Adidas size women's the same as men's, and men's shoes are vanity sized in other places [who would have guessed]. And some other weirdness about EU sizing measurements. Anyway.

I'm a size 5 in shoes and recently bought grey gazelles myself - got a size 5 and happy with the fit! They're probably the same ones you're thinking of

RJnomore1 · 09/04/2018 22:03

I find them true to size (7) but narrow. They're definitely not wide!

NKFell · 09/04/2018 22:07

Ooh I just got some new grey ones! I’m a size 6, bought w size 6 and found they were quite wide tbh but super comfy.

I'd say they are true to size against normal shoes and boots and definitely wide (they need to be for my feet). Lovely supportive arches too.

ChishandFips33 · 09/04/2018 22:40

True to size but narrow here too - I wear a 5.5 in Gazelles

Superstars are a little more generous in length, width and sole thickness (so find them more comfortable) - I have a 5 and a 6 and the 5 is about right - 6 is a bit sloppy but were a bargain so overlooked this 🙈

Haven't tried Superga or Converse so can't compare

DaisyRenton18 · 09/04/2018 22:48

I vary between 4 and 5, and have a 5 in Gazelles as they didn't have the colour I wanted in 4.5, and found them fine (a little wide).

McDougal · 09/04/2018 22:54

I'm really surprised at those saying they size up for gazelles as I find Adidas to be huge, and I have quite wide feet.

I size down half a size...which also allows me to pay kids prices Grin

Ellapaella · 10/04/2018 08:03

Strange, I have wide feet and have never been able to squeeze into Gazelles.

pigpoglet · 10/04/2018 08:08

I think they are big , I normally wear a 5 in trainers but got these in 4.5 . Half sizes available on the Adidas website.

IjustbelieveinMe · 10/04/2018 12:21

off topic - kind of.
I love my gazelles (green and grey) but don't like how the 'tongue' moves to the side, does anyone else has this problem? Confused

IsDaveThere · 10/04/2018 12:41

I agree they are definitely not wide!! I have wide feet and bought myself a pair, they cripple me and I think I'm going to have to put them on eBay :-(

hownowpowpow · 10/04/2018 12:42

I am a size 4 and bought gazelles in a size 3 and find they are a bit too big. Bought black ones but they look really navy in daylight and it drives me a small bit mad Grin
