Is this pinafore dress horrible?

I have a few classic pinafore dresses already, however I spotted this one from Jack Wills which is a bit different to others I have seen. I'm mid twenties, a size 8-10...would this dress look awful? Any ideas for styling?
I initially saw it in the next website, however it's not stocked there, they only have it on the Jack Wills website.

No, I think it’s cute as a button. I’m a size 12, so don’t think I would go for it, but at your size I think so. Nice crop tee underneath? Maybe more retro colours...there are some lovely striped t-shirts in topshop right now. Wouldn’t go overboard with colour clash or loads of accessories, I would be worried I d look like a children’s TV presenter! Can’t beat plain colours underneath, classic white t-shirt or button down shirt

Prefer the styling on the Jack Wills link...

I don’t know ... I like pinafores but I don’t like that one. It’s so expensive for the price!

I'm waiting for a 25% off discount code before I buy it, I never buy anything full priced from there 😂

I don't think I could pull it off with a shirt underneath...I wear shirts with the, normally but I'm not sure about pairing a shirt with this shape. I'd definitely wear it with a striped t shirt, or crop top though...any other ideas?

I love it!

I don't like it. It's not really a pinafore, just a bit sacky and muh.

But I do love pinafore dresses! Saw one in the White Stuff book today and was gutted to realise it was a children's one!

Yes, I thought the shape was strange initially, hence my doubts! I'm still unsure but I might try it on in store and decide then, I hope it looks nice !
