Budget lip sticks/stains that stay put?

I recently started wearing lipstick (at the grand age of 35), usually in a nude tone or soft colours, my lips but better type of style.

They go really quickly though so which do actually stay? I won’t be able to stretch to high end brands though.

Thank you.

I've got a great Bourjois Rouge Velvet lipstick (in a bright orange red) that seems to last incredibly well - don't know if all the colours are the same but worth a try for about £8?

The NYX Matte Lip Cream is really good. Is about £6. Really good range of colours with NYX too.

Maybelline superstay 24 hour colour. It's a double ended applicator with a gloss finish and are the only thing that's ever lasted on me, they're brilliant. They're usually around £9 but often have buy one get one half price deals.

ELF lip stain and Olivia Hale are the best stayers for me. Admittedly darker than you're looking for but the more pigment the longer the colour will last IME.

Thank you, everyone. I haven’t heard of NYX 😳 Am heading into town later today so will try out your recommendations.

They do NYX in larger Boots stores. They do some great products actually.

I agree on the Maybelline 24 hour as well- I find that stays put for a good while.

If you can find a stockist (some wilko stores have it) then essence matte lip gloss (not sure how a gloss can be matte, but it's definitely more matte than gloss!) can stay put and it's around £3 a tube.
