Skin care routine for 15 year old girl

Currently my dd takes her make up off with face wipes then uses a simple face wash and moisturiser. She Is prone to spots. She is now using more make up more often and I think she needs a better skin cleansing routine. Any suggestions? She has quite dry skin and is prone to eczema - moisturiser is on prescription from the doctor because of the eczema

Get rid of the face wipes for starters

Try a hot cloth cleanser such as Liz Earle, or you can buy a much cheaper and just as good version from Superdrug. That’ll be WAY less harsh on her skin than wipes.

Stick with the face wash. Does she use toner? That’ll help reset the PH balance in her skin

You don’t want anything too harsh because of her young skin and eczema.

Double or triple cleanse with a foaming water based cleanser - I use the one from Simple. Follow it up with toner to remove every last bit of make up. Then use essence or serum. Then water based moisturiser for oily skin (Simple again).

Just saw that she has excema. In that case no toner ever. And cream based cleanser - No 7 do a good one. Then foaming cleanser. Then serum. Then her moisturiser.

E45 do a good serum.

Simple skincare is not great for dry skin, It's good in the sense that it has nothing in it that can irritate your skin, but because it has nothing init, it's puts nothing in your skin either, and leaves it very dry and strips of natural oils. Liz earl is really good, I use the Superdrug's version of the hot cloth cleanser twice a day and it is very very good.

Will get rid of the face wipes and then I think a trip to Boots / Superdrug is needed. The eczema tends to flare up on her face in winter but it can be quite bad and she needs to use hydrocortisone cream to get it under control

Look on Caroline hirons cheat sheet for cleansing but miss the acid toner bit out.

Get her wearing a sunblock daily now so she doesn’t wrinkle badly as she ages.

I have really sensitive, dry and easily irritated skin and I can’t use Simple products.
I have hardly any break outs since using Emma Hardie cleansing balm. I know it’s expensive but a jar lasts ages.
DD got a great free product in her BettyBox, it’s Nip+Fab Teen Skin moisturiser. It’s really cleared her skin up.

My DD is 15yo and loves her make-up , she is scrupulous at removing it .

Bodyshop camomile balm with a muslin cloth wrung in hot water and the Eyemake-up remover
Mario Badescu Rosewater spray
Aveeno cream

She has the Mario Badescu cleansing gel for in the shower

She was whittering on about a serum but no idea which one

Cerave has recently launched in Boots. It’s an American line that’s ok for skin with excema. There’s a foaming cleanser and a creamy cleanser for dryer skin. I’ve tested it and like it better than Cetaphil. There’s also a moisturiser in the range.
Simple is awful stuff. My kids are all allergic to it ever since reacting really badly to the Suntan lotion.
Aveeno is generally very soothing as well.
