Tankini bottoms for curvy hourglass 8 year old dd

Hello,

Dd 8 already has curvy hourglass hips. I had this at exactly the same age.

We swim a lot on holiday, and tankinis work well for her as easier and quicker to go to the toilet.

She fits standard child's tankini tops, but the bottoms are now always too small.

I'm thinking an adults size 8 might work for her, but I am looking for something plain that is age appropriate and secure.

Any suggestions? Teal would be an ideal colour to match her existing top.

Thanks
Katy

Have you tried Lands End and Boden? Both have plain bottoms in various styles.

No, now you suggest though that's obvious! Thank you, I shall go and take a look.

M and s often have plain, not too skimpy swimwear too

Next have decent swimwear, also decathlon- their tankini tops are few and far between, but their bikini bottoms are great- and really inexpensive too.

Something in a shorts boy leg style could work. Plain black maybe so it does with all the tops

ASOS do a mix and match range. Worth having a look.

There are v. plain tankinis in Sports Direct - I wear the one with shorts. It's cheap, and covers me, and is very convenient at the beach. Could work well for your dd.

How about Debenhams. I have bought the short style ones from there in the past. Or as others have said, try M & S.

Huge thanks everyone. I've ordered from lands end, as they had the best colours, but slightly concerned about fit as smallest size was a 10. Decathlon and/or sports direct will be next port of call. All great ideas. I've got big boobs so go to bravissimo and figleaves for all my swimwear so had no idea of alternatives.
Thank you mumsnet.
