Ebay makeup?

So I really want some new makeup but can't afford some of the prices. I've been looking at some of the tarte palettes on eBay and they look great! Surely it's too good to be true price wise? Has anyone
bought any makeup from eBay ? High end stuff? I though it was probably all made in the same place anyway? Need advice please Smile

I think the ones on eBay are most likely fakes

Sailorjerrycherry · 07/04/2018 23:45

If it’s too good to be true it probably is. eBay is filled with fakes for makeup, as is Facebook messenger. Avoid at all costs! Best case scenario the pigmentation or lasting power isnt as good, worst case scenario they contain dangerous levels of lead or even arscenic.
Stick to high street or drug store products if that’s all your budget will allow as some are excellent - not worth the risk of fakes! Smile

Arscenic! My god.

Make up revolution from Superdrug is really good and not expensive

Dandellion · 08/04/2018 18:25

Have you tried looking on Depop? Lots of girls selling genuine make up that was unwanted gifts, or they just tried the once and didn't like.

FrolickingForklift · 08/04/2018 18:26

The makeup revolution palettes from Superdrug are great and super cheap

DairyisClosed · 08/04/2018 18:27

I would recommend beauty pie instead. Good quality and affordable.

I have bought make up off eBay but always make sure the seller is someone with a real name, the amount they have to sell/sold is a big indicator of fakes as well, e.g. if they are only selling 1 chances are it’s real if they have sold 100s etc it’s fake. Also if the info says factory seconds Definately fake as big brands don’t do such a thing.

Price is also a big point you won’t get high end for like £10 for example. I bought a violet Voss palette off eBay that had been used but the seller didn’t use it anymore, I did pay slightly less than brand new, maybe £5-10 cheaper but not a major amount cheaper plus most sellers will be quite happy to provide proof of purchase if you ask and they aren’t fakes
