Had a huge whitehead with a black dot in, was more than ready so used hot flannel and it popped by itself but the redness underneath just grew before my eyes and spread, it looks bloody hideous and I can hide it, what wrong with it and how can I sort asap?

Ouch that looks sore. I’ve heard of people putting blister plaster on as they do something to drawing out the gunk. Apart from that I’d just go gentle on it and hopefully it will calm down soon

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 07/04/2018 16:30

Dab some witch hazel on it, it will calm it down.

I had one of those recently, they are sore! I popped a little germoline on and kept clean and dry it did throb a bit but the redness settled. I had lots of other blotchy spots too so I looked like a dot to dot I use witch hazel normally but did nowt for this. I had been unwell with a fluey type thing and my skin has been dry and horrible since

Cat12321 · 07/04/2018 18:04

Looks like you've tried to pop it too much (like we all do!) and that's why it's so red :(

Best thing to do is to smother it in Sudocrem and leave it alone for a few days :)

margaritasbythesea · 07/04/2018 18:32

If it has already opened, a small piece of blister plaster on overnight will dry it out. The ones you get for your feet cut into small pieces.

I’d be tempted to put magnesium sulphate paste & a plaster on that. It is an old fashioned ‘drawing’ paste, available from pharmacies which will draw out any left over gunk.

I reckon that's a bite , not a pimple.

met any radioactive spiders recently?

Buttercupsandaisies · 07/04/2018 18:44

Agree that doesn't look like a spot to me? I'd be wanting rid of the black dot though as it prob won't heal til that's out

AtrociousCircumstance · 07/04/2018 19:38

Looks infected - could be impetigo? Get thee to a pharmacist!

ised · 07/04/2018 23:43

Definitely a spot, my skin has been awful recently really dry and rashy

The black don't is just where it's scabbed.

I don't squeeze it at all just got flannel and it popped itself but then this readiness appeared.

Dabbed some witch hazel on and hoping it's settles down quickly

Put freederm gel on it. It really calms redness and doesn't dry or irritate the skin. I swear by it
