Boots No7 make up

Some Boots No7 products are on a £7 offer at the moment - eg the Airbrush Away primer / powder range, reduced from £16.50. I'm tempted, just because of the price point. But in recent years I've gone off No7 (especially skincare - the protect and perfect skincare range I just found oily and slimy). What's other people's views of No7 - is there anything you find a must-have?

Hi,I really like No7 products. I use quite a few. Love the a Total Renewal face scrub and hot cloth cleanser. BB cream and stay perfect foundation is lovely. Lip crayons and lipstick are good too! My list goes on🙈x

Lottapianos · 07/04/2018 15:24

I have a few No7 bits and could not be happier with them. The Airbrush Away powder manages to be mattifying and illuminating at the same time. The Lift and Luminate and Instant Radiance foundations are fab on my dry dehydrated skin. The lipsticks are pretty much perfect - Moisture Drench are satin and Stay Perfect are matte. Long lasting colour, zero drying, lovely range of shades, no bleeding or slipping. Loads better than Lancome and Charlotte Tilbury at £25 a go 🙄

AlexanderHamilton · 07/04/2018 15:27

I like the moisturiser & primer but think the quality & colour ranges in the make up has deteriorated over the years.

Thinkingofausername1 · 07/04/2018 15:46

I love the new cleansing balm and dark circle cream. It is actually working as my dark circles even show up under my foundation, but today I noticed a difference.
Stay perfect foundation is nice for a glowy /radiant look. Smile

brownelephant · 07/04/2018 15:49

intelligent colour foundation.
not too much coverage but easy to apply and it stays in place all day and doesn't turn orange over the day.

letiziana · 07/04/2018 15:49

i love the eye creams

nordicflamingo · 07/04/2018 15:51

Their gold mascara is the only one I wear - it doesn’t make my eyelashes voluminous but it doesn’t smudge.

ChippyMinton · 07/04/2018 15:54

The colour-matching thing they do for foundation is very good.
I like the foundations, powder, mascara, lip crayons and nail polish.

Makingworkwork · 07/04/2018 16:00

I accidentally bought the lift and illuminate foundation and found it make me spotty. I like the stay perfect foundation and the chubby stick blusher.

Can anyone recommend one of their B.B. style creams so I don’t have to use seperate face cream and foundation on work mornings. I use their warm ivory foundation if that helps.

Snowqueeny75 · 07/04/2018 16:13

Which exact powder is it? I also love warm ivory lift and illuminate foundation

Lottapianos · 07/04/2018 16:26

Making, I haven't used any No7 BB creams but I have the Rimmel one and it's marvellous. Glowy finish, lasts well, hydrating on my dry skin, photographs beautifully. Highly recommended

lovemylover · 07/04/2018 20:33

I have used No 7 Instant Radiance for ages and i love it,
Tried the lift and luminate but found it drying

FadingSomewhereInHollywood · 07/04/2018 20:41

I love their Stay Perfect foundation.

They also do a really excellent concealer stick that I constantly carry around with me. My skin's mostly clear but I do get the odd single spot and I recently used it in front of a friend, who mentioned that she hadn't noticed I had a spot and how well it blended.

Botanicbaby · 07/04/2018 20:55

Glad its not just me that hates the Protect & Perfect skincare OP, I find it terrible!

I don't mind the no7 lipsticks but that is about it. They used to have a navy mascara I liked but not sure if they still do it?

rainbowfudgee · 07/04/2018 20:58

I bought the Christmas star gift which had loads of skincare: hot Cloth cleanser, day and night creams, eye cream, make up remover, lip balm, lip gloss, mascara. Really impressed with all of them.

rainbowfudgee · 07/04/2018 20:59

Another vote for stay perfect foundation. I buy 4 at a time as I know I'll still love it in a year's time!

UnaMagdalena · 07/04/2018 21:02

Love the products. Years ago i would have found them too boring (the packaging) but now i love the caramel kiss lipstick, the lift and luminate, the powder, lots of other bits are really good for reasonable price

desperatehousewife2 · 07/04/2018 21:24

Also a fan of the Stay Perfect foundation!
Hate their nail polish though, you need about 27 coats for it to be opaque

Gwenhwyfar · 07/04/2018 21:27

I also like the Stay Perfect foundation. I've rebelled against the usual rule of going for the same colour as your skin and am using a slightly darker shade, which I think looks fine as long as I blend it properly.

Has anyone tried the new cushion foundation thing? Looks very handy to carry around.

SukiTheDog · 07/04/2018 22:44

@Gwenh.... me too. I’m tired of being matched to a base which frankly, makes me look worse WITH it on. I’ve gone slightly warmer and if blended out well, it’s fine (I think) 😐

OP, I buy their List & Luminate Foundation and eyeshadow cream stuff, in a tube. I don’t rate their mascara but love their lippies. I’ve used Cameo and Waterlilly for many moons.

FireandBrimstone · 07/04/2018 23:53

Very handy recommendations here, thanks. It's interesting to see No7 gets a lot of love. I succumbed to buying the airbrush away primer and foundation, so let's see how I get on with them.

OyWithThePoodles · 08/04/2018 12:48

I went off their skincare as well OP. Their Stay Perfect compact foundation is great for when you're in a hurry. Also like their Airbrush Away Translucent Finishing Powder, and Perfect Light Loose powder.

Makingworkwork · 08/04/2018 18:22

Lottapianos thank you. Can you use it without moisturising first?

Lottapianos · 08/04/2018 22:17

Making, I use a moisturizer underneath, but my skin is really quite dry. You may be fine without

woodlanddreamer · 08/04/2018 22:21

I bought the new cushion foundation thing & love it. I'm a very lazy make upper & it's so easy. You can layer it on for more coverage. I used lift & luminate before but prefer this. Don't know how long it will last though, or how you know if it is running out!
