Opinions on this parka

I ordered and received this parka yesterday. It’s soooo warm and snuggly but dh thinks it looks like a man’s coat. What do you think?

I like it and want one! Has it got a detachable hood?

What is a man's coat when it is at home? Surely clothes can be worn by anyone who wants to wear that particular item?

Hmm, bit shiney for my taste and I don't like the tightness of the middle bit. Excellent price though.

The hood is not detachable but the fur is

It’s matte IRL and the middle bit can be let out with toggles.

I love the super dry one but want navy after years of green parkas.

It's just a standard parka. Maybe try it back on for him but wear lipstick and pin a flower to the lapel and ask him about his other opinions on clothes you wear!

I agree with your dh! I think it's the combination of the big buttons, the colour and the fact it is a bit shapeless. What tightness in the middle? It looks straight up and down in the pictures I'm seeing.
It's a good price, and if you think it looks good on you then keep it!

I would have put parkas down as unisex anyway, more a utility piece to keep warm than something stylish.

Topshop did one like that a good few years ago . I think you do need to be very slim and stylish to pull it off otherwise it will look like the old bin men's coats 😬

Update! I just tried it on in front of my friends full length mirror. Dh is right, it looks like I’m wearing a mans coat, something about the buttons, and the sleeves being very wide. And the fit is boxy and manly. Back it goes....
